Sport

Canicross

The Dalmatian is a very sportive dog breed.
The great thing about him is that you can practice with him almost any (canine) sport that is fun. From retrieving, agility, cycling, running on mantrailing to the train dog sport. The Dalmatian is doing everything. The main thing is he is there.
Which is just as nice, that you do not have to do all this, as long as you meet your need for sufficient exercise.
One should not forget that the Dalmatian is a running dog!
So what is closer than running with him?

Canicross:

Under Canicross one understands the common running with dog. Man and dog are connected by a shock absorber line. Man wears a running or trekking belt. The running distances usually vary between 2.5 to 10 km, but upwards, in principle, all limits are open, as long as the condition of man and dog is allowed.
We run Canicross as a recreational sport with all our three Dalmatians.
On competitions we also occasionally participate with Berta and Baci.
It is primarily about the common "work" with the dog and the fun we have as a team here.

Dogthiking:

During dog trekking you hike with the dog the big wide world (or at least a small part of it).
The actual trekking begins at distances of about 80 km.
At distances of 30 to 70 km one speaks of Doghike. Everything under it is called Zughundewandern.
You can find us on longer hikes of 20 to 30 km, as well as on doghikes. It does not matter to us if we are alone, in a small group or on Dogtrekking events.
The main thing is that we are traveling with our dogs in a great landscape. Again, for us the fun and the common adventure in the foreground!
